We are the Inayatiyya Australia which is part of the Inayatiyya International Sufi lineage established by Hazrat Inayat Khan who has passed the leadership to our current Pir, Pir Zia Inayat-Khan.
Sufis are searchers on the spiritual path of love and of the heart. We welcome and support every heart of all spiritual denominations in their unique journey of discovery – including those who do not embrace the idea of God. Direct personal experiences, rather than ideas, are the foundation of Sufi teaching and practice.
Sufi teaching emphasizes spiritual development based on personal experience. Reading cannot provide this alone however understanding does help deepen our practice. On our website we have provided information on what Sufism is, the Seven activities of the Inayatiyya and a brief intro to our Pir (Pir Zia Inayat-Khan).
